The Big Bang Theory. “The Bath Item Gift”

                Leonard meets Dr. David Underhill, who is an experimental physicist just like him. Leonard be jealous of David because Davis is a handsome, charming, attractive, cool and a more success physicist than Leonard be. Although he is jealous of what David had achieved, he still jumps of his chair when David gives him an offer to help him in research. Yet the joy he feels by hanging out and riding motorcycle turns to jealousy when David meet Penny and the two start dating. But the relationship between David and Penny does not stand long because David is recently married before. Sheldon, who is roommate of Leonard, concern about the upcoming Christmas holiday and he keep wondering about what will he bought as a gift to Penny. Thus he discovered a wide selection of baskets of bath items, but he does not know what to kind basket that suitable for Penny, so he bought the entire tray of the baskets. Penny give a handkerchief that have been used and autograph by Leonard Nimoy, a person that Sheldon adore the most. The handkerchief contains DNA of Leonard Nimoy and Sheldon happy that he can clone his own “Mr.Spoke”. As a consequence, Sheldon gave all the baskets containing the bath items to Penny and the first hug that he gave to a woman.

I need to watch this science based sitcom a few times at YouTube in order to understand what this funny sitcom tells about, because I can’t catch the conversation they had in the screen. This drama have caught my interest and for me, this drama tells us how groups of nerds trying to mix with other normal people. Nerds are an extraordinary person that has higher IQ level that other normal person. They are obsessed to a single non-social hobby. This sitcom teaches us how to appreciate friendship because friendship is important to us in order to live a wonderful life. This drama also tells us how true friends act in order to help us to solve things that we have to do.

                The character that I like the most in this drama is Sheldon, the tallest one in the nerds group. He is interesting in my eyes because he is so straight forward and that tells us that he is an honest person. He also doesn’t hide his expression that enables others to act according to his responds. Others that want to get close with Sheldon have little problems because of his characteristics.

                This sitcom not only funny, but it brings moral values that can brings benefits to us that realise the presence of it. One of the moral values that can be seen is make friends with an honest heart. We cannot expect being friends with persons that can give benefits to us. We must make friends with other because of what they really are. That is the true friendship means. Other moral values are don’t predict that we can get something that we want just by wishing for it. Not all thing or something that we want can be obtain if there is no effort put into it.

                For conclusion, this sitcom is suitable for those that want to learn English because the word that been used is quite simple and we can understand it well. This drama also able to make us realize that not all people have the ability to mix up with other person, we must help them in order to make their life more wonderful.

(500) Days of Summer

My first impression when looking into the title of the movie that been shown to us during BEL 120 class is, I expected it to be a warm and happy love story because the word “summer”. As we know, summer is the time that most of people waits for, because it will be a holiday at that time. This movie is based on a spoilt relationship between a man that work as a writer at a greeting card company in Los Angeles, with the new worker of his company he working with. The event is shown according to the running of time starting of the first day till the 500^th day.

The moral value that I can detect in the movie is our life can change in a blink of time. Or life will keep changing even with small mistake or influence. In this movie, Tom Hansen, who is the main character have gloomy life, and tried to change it but the effort he give is not enough at all. One day, he meet the new worker, Summer Finn, at his working place during a meeting, who is the female lead of the story. Tom begin to feel that his life will change with the presence of the girl. A few month pass and their relationship grow. One day, tom hade a fight with a man that flirts with Summer, and at that time, they had their first argument. Result from that argument, Tom felt depressed and even his work is affected. He then, after having some advises from his younger sister, decided to quit his job and applying for the real work that he love the most.

The most interesting character that I like in this movie is Tom at twelve days after the 500 days period of his historical life. Tom manage to change his life and tried to applying for a job that he like. He like to be an architect as he was first trained to be. When attending the interview, he meet a girl name “Autumn”. It seem that they will have a good relationship later. As he managed to make a change in his life, he manage to be a better person. It shows that when problem cannot be solved in one way, trying to change the way to solve the problem may be affective. We just have to know how to change for our life.

For me, the movie teach us that life can be change if we know the right way to change it. This movie teach us to realize that not all things that we like, we will get it until we have tried many time to achieve it. This movie tell us that life is like a wheel. Sometimes we be on top, and sometimes, we will be on the bottom. Take the opportunities when there is some and try to adapt ourselves when our life is down.

In conclusion, this movie is not only about love, but it teach us how life goes by and how to adapt ourselves to play a good match and succeed in our life. We are the ones that can change our life.

The Power of Time

“Time is Gold”. A famous quotes about time. For me, time is more valuable than gold. As we know, when we losing our money, we can get it back by working to search for money. Of course we can search for money, but the time that we use to search for it is wasted just because we want to have the money, but losing our precious time. For time, if we lose it once, we can never get it back because time cannot be reversed.

Another quotes that I like about time that created by Harvey MacKay, that is “time is free, but it is priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it, you can’t keep it but you can spend it. Once you lost it, you can never get it back” .This quote tell us that time is something that we cannot buy as it is more valuable than gold. Time also cannot be own as it is something abstract, but we can always use it. Great man and woman use every single minutes of their time to create something that they can proud of. They use time wisely because they know that time will pass by even they stop doing what they suppose to do. The last line in the quote is “once you have lost it, you can never get it back”. This line tell us that time is something that cannot be reversed. Our ancestor have tried thousands of ways to make time be reversible, but none of the way succeed. This show that time is solid and cannot be change its rule, so we are the ones that have to adapt ourselves to be able to use time in the best way.

We must manage our time wisely in order to create an efficient person that can do jobs or tasks faster without losing quality of even quantity. We must know what to do to fill our precious time so that we can do our jobs in the correct order and the product of our task surely will be more complete and better than before thanks to correct management of time. We will also feel more calm and in full control of ourselves. Good time management will reduce unnecessary stress that can affect the quality of our life. If we want to improve ourselves more, we must be able to keep our mind calm and in optimum state. This not only help in our time management, but also help in keeping our body healthy all the time to enable us to carry out activity that can advance our life.

To know how to improve time management, we must ask what things that is the most important than others in our daily life. First things that comes doesn’t means that’s the most important things that can change our life. Important things is something that can improve and renovate our entire life. We must keep in mind that not all things that we like is good for our life because to improve our life better, we must not waste our time even we have plenty of it because time is never be ours. Time will leaves us and never come back as it is the law of nature.

Our future is never be clear and even witch doctor cannot read their future clearly as time can change in a blink of eye. We are the ones that have the potential to set up our future. We are the ones that choose what kind of life that we want to live in and how can we achieve that dream. To make these things come into reality, we must first play a good match with time. When we be able to control time, so that we can control our future and life.
